The Elise has been with us since 1995 and in this time the car has evolved and eventually ceased production in 2021. In the early days, Lotus had a service regime that had A, B & C services. When the Toyota engine was introduced to the Elise / Exige range, Lotus dropped the letters and instead had a regular service (9,000 miles or 12 months) which then had additional items that were due at various intervals i.e. coolant every 4 years. These service intervals will be printed within your owners manual or maintenance record but they are no longer current.
From the 1st of March 2020 Lotus introduced fixed price servicing. As part of the introduction of fixed price servicing, Lotus reduced the price of all servicing parts (and brakes) in order to create an attractive offer. At the same time, Lotus rationalised the service schedules in order to make the process less complicated. They also re-introduced the A – F servicing labels to make it easier to identify the required service.
Because of these changes, the required service will not always align with the service schedule published within the maintenance record.
